Supply has just finished to the berth scour protection project in the Central American Pacific-facing port. A total of 19,100 m2 of scour protection mattress was engineered and delivered to site over an 11-month period.
The deck superstructure was completed fast and resulted in the scour protection works having to be executed underneath an already constructed deck with limited access. The fabric mattress panels were supplied in lengths of 55m, which zip together to form sealed ball & socket joints once pump-filled with concrete.
